RiiDL provides various services to the incubated startups. Some of the services are limited to incubation period whereas some extends up till startups get Series-A funding. These services helps startup to grow and facilitate their need during their early growth stage. For providing services to the startups RiiDL can charge upto 4-6 % equity.
RiiDL help startup connects to various industries in their incubation lifetime. Industries in both Private and Government sector including Manufacturing, IT etc. The responsibility of connecting startups to the industry will be of Incubation Manager and In-house experts. The industry can be potential client or a collaborator for startup. Startup can not force their requirement of connecting to a particular company of an industry, RiiDL can connect to any peer company playing same role in the industry.
RiiDL provides legal support to the incubated startups The legal support essentially comprises of:
Idea validation from a legal and regulatory standpoint, including advising on founder legacy issues and legal landscaping of execution of the business idea.
Business structure/entity identification, set-up, operationalization and related compliance support.
Build-out of preliminary and iterative legal templates related to the business and commercial requirements of the Start Up. These could include employment documentation, IP creation and capture forms and iterative vendor and customer contracts.
Once the Startup is operational, RiiDL will partner with the Startup, to provide ongoing legal advice that is pre-emptive and proactive and tied to the business inflection points and strategic needs of the Start-Up.
The scope of this partnership will include the following:
RiiDL will work with the Startup to provide ongoing inputs on any changes in law that impact the Start-Up’s business. Further, RiiDL will also pre-emptively advise the Start-Up on any legal bottlenecks to any proposed business refinement or business enhancement.
RiIDL will advise the Startup on any proposed investor relationships (including seed, angel, Series A, B and C investments), including negotiations, best practices, tax impact and investment documentation (such as term sheets, shareholder agreements, etc). RiiDL will also advise on debt financing.
RiiDL will advise legal mechanisms to address strategic initiatives such as employee stock incentives, innovation/patent pipelines and protection strategy, product development and commercialization (such as licensing (in-licensing, out-licensing, cross licensing), contract manufacturing, co-development, etc.), mergers & acquisitions, business alliances, joint ventures and sale of business.

RiiDL has a tie up with patent company who helps RiiDL startups with IPR related issues. These companies on behalf of RiiDL provides the following IPR services to startups :
Identify patentable technologies with emphasis on technologies suitable for India
Provide advice on how best to modify new technologies so that they become patentable and commercially viable in India
Provide strategic input on how to best monetize IP/ technology in India
Preliminary Review of Inventions – a preliminary feedback on the patentability of an invention in a particular jurisdiction
IP Strategic reports on products including Product Analysis Report on the construction, functionality and physics behind the product and Search Report for prior art in specific jurisdiction.
